Chrome Password Saves

Some of you have reported not being able to save the TMW password in your Chrome browser.  I have done some testing, and if Chrome asks you to save the password and you agree, it seems to save the password on the current server you are on, and not in you central profile location, where it is saving bookmarks and history.  This is true for not just TMW, but any website you use Chrome to access.  I will be looking to see if there is a way to change this behavior.  I will keep you posted.

In the meantime, take note that in order for the password to save, you have two options.

  1. You can log in to TMW and save your password each time you hit a new server.  As of yesterday, there were 5 so keep in mind you will have to do this 5 times, and when, depends on what server you grab each day.  Eventually, you should hit a server you have done this on before, and the password will be there.
  2. You can create a Google account to use with Chrome.  This gives you the added benefit of having all bookmarks, history, etc associated with your Google account, on any Chrome browser you use anywhere.  You should use your FCI email address when you create this account.  To create and account is fairly easy, and there should be a link to create a new account when you try to log in to Chrome.  Let me know if you need any assistance in setting this up.

If you aren’t worried about saving your TMW password, or any password to the Chrome browser, the you need not do anything.  Just remember you will need to enter your login and password each time.
