How to put an icon on your desktop or taskbar

There are two methods of putting a program icon on your desktop.

1. Find the program on the start menu and drag-drop to your desktop.  This will create a shortcut.
2. Search for the program using the magnifying glass at the bottom right.
   1. Right click the program and choose "open file location"
   2. Left-click-hold drag-drop to your desktop and choose "copy here".  This will copy the shortcut to your desktop.

To add a shortcut to the taskbar, use one of the two methods above to find the program.  Right-click the program and choose "pin to taskbar".  This will create an icon on the taskbar.
