These are the steps to follow when you need to replace (clone) an RDS server in the RDS server farm.  This set of instructions follows the replacement of FCIRDPSH-11.

DISABLE OLD SERVER

From the FCIRDPGW server, start computer management and navigate to the farm.  Disable logins to the affected server and log off all users that may be logged in on that server.

Remove the server from the farm.

Remove the server from the collection

Log into the server with domain admin creds and disable the PCMiler license if you are able.

While still logged in with domain admin creds, unjoin it from the domain then and do a reboot then login with local admin creds and do a shut down.

Rename the server in VMWare by adding a "_old" to the name i.e. "FCIRDPSH-11_old"

We are now done with the old server.

UPDATE THE PRESYSPREP IMAGE

Log into the Presysprep image with domain admin creds and do any necessary updates to Windows, Nitro PDF, MSRDP, Citrix Workspace, etc.

Clone the Presysprep image to a new server named with the old name (minus "_old")

Presysprep new server

Power on the new server and log in with domain admin creds.

Run presysprep on the new server with the "generalize" and "reboot" options.

Prepare new server

Log onto new server with local admin creds

Set static IP address to what was on the old one.  Reboot

Rename (ex "FCIRDPSH-11") and join to FCI doman.  Reboot

Activate license for PCMiler.

Install Kaseya (or ask OCG)

Install Datto EDR (or ask OCG)

REJOIN Server to the farm

Log into the FCIRDPGW server with network admin creds.

Start computer management and go to the farm.

Join the server back to the collection

Join the server back to the farm

Enable logins (if necessary)

DONE
