Stages of the login process

When you log into the network, there are a few stages the login process must go through.  When you have login issues, knowing which stage it is getting stuck on can be helpful in troubleshooting the problem.

First is loading your user roaming profile and applying your user settings.  This is where many user setting are stored and this must be loaded to the local server ever time you log in.

Next it sets up the folders to your desktop and documents.

Then it sets up any printers you are assigned.

Finally it connects you to the farm server and finishes setting up your user session
