Taking Home Your MiTel Phone

When you take your phone home, you must send the MAC address of the phone (found on a sticker on the back of the phone) and your home address and phone number to nicklucas@freeholdcartage.com .  This is for 911 emergency location registration.

You need to take:

·         The phone & handset & headset if you have one and want to use it at home.

·         The power adapter

·         The ethernet cable between the power adapter and the phone.  Leave this cable plugged into the phone and the power adapter.

·         A long enough ethernet cable that will plug into your home internet modem/router.  Get this from the IT office.  I have many 7’ & 14’ cables and a couple 25’.

To connect at home:

·         Plug one end of the cable from the IT office into the open port on the power adapter and the other into an open port on your internet modem/router.

·         Plug the power cord of the power adapter into an AC outlet.

·         Wait a minute or so and the phone should be active and working.

·         Contact IT if you have issues.
